Where to begin?

We believe what's in the Bible. The gospels, who Jesus is, who He said He was and will be forever more. If you're churchinese saavy, we agree with the Apostle's Creed.

Hands down, we believe the Bible is the word of God. Inspired, God breathed, whatever your translation says in that scripture (2 Timothy 3:16), we agree. It's the handbook, the volumes where God speaks to us through His Holy Spirit. If someone is teachable, has the ability to listen and willingness to comprehend and apply what is written within, it's a great place to start.

This is meant to be an open dialogue between those fully entrenched in church culture (born and raised in it), and those who have been without contemporary (within the last 100 years or so) church culture. Because there is a disconnect between newer and unchurched believers. Those who have been newly reading the Bible, those who have studied it, and those who have been told and taught it via teachers for their entire lives. There's got to be a meeting in the middle, a literal come to Jesus meeting where we can discuss and hash out what is really important and what we can let go.

Currently, (un)churched is hosted by Rebekah Ann Curtis. Rebekah has a degree in Psychology and has studied the Bible cover to cover in multiple translations. She has never ascribed to any particular denomination, but has attended many churches across most Protestant denominations and has read the catechism. If you would like to hear more about her in detail, her intro episode is The First One.

Rebekah Ann Curtis is a singer/songwriter utilizing her talents as an on call worship leader and writing music to reach people who are broken, abandoned and forgotten.
